These photos show my experimentation and further development of the drawings i have been making through chairs, i have tried creating a drawing through a chair and then using the drawing to wrap the chair. This process has been documented and the drawing removed. The drawing itself then becomes an interesting piece as it is moulded slightly by the shape of the chair. This idea is related to the drawing i made in skye using the land to mould the paper.

Here i have experimented with hanging a chair, abstracting it by removing it from the floor and allowing the viewer to see it from all angles, underneath included.

Drawing around and through the mesh.

Using the mesh taken from a chair to make work

Continuing to modify chairs and documenting the changes i make, I have started to use the pieces, such as the mesh for example that i take off the chair to make drawings, spraying through them and drawing round them. The mesh also becomes an interesting object in itself. These photos also show how i have started to look at the objects i have taken off chairs, in different ways. Thinking about how they would be best shown, to highlight the interesting things about them. For example the chair legs make the viewer look at a chair leg in a way they probably havent seen before. As it isnt very often anyone looks at the bottom of a chair leg. I need to think about ways of highlighting these pieces, turning them into pieces rather than prep work and experimentation.
