Alongside doing my light work i have been experimenting making more geometric forms, this time directly in relation to the architecture of the space. I have then started to experiment with how it can exist within the space.

Experimenting using coloured light to transform the space.

Using light to reflect the geometry of the room.

I am continuing to experiment with drawing into space with the projector, i have made the lines more intricate and complex to experiment with how i can change the space through lots of markmaking and also very little as shown before using just one line in the space. I have also documented people walking through the space. I like the idea of semi permenance, that the projection can be introduced to the space for as long or short amount of time as possible. To me it reflects the idea of time which the corridor represents as it is a passage way from one space to another.

Experimenting with light and drawing to transform the space.

I am interested in lights time and form within the space.

Working with the site i have chosen.

This photo shows the geometric forms which drew me towards using this site.

I started to investigate the idea of drawing to change a space so started to play with string in the space to investigate the way it can be manipulated to change space.

Working on the site i have chosen.

These photos show another of my models made from foam board and the site i have finally decided on. I chose this site because i am interested in how people move through spaces, and this is a corridor, it also has interesting geometric forms within it. Also because it has no natural light it is easy to control the light source which interests me.
Alongside looking at potential sites i started to play around with ideas, doing some figurative drawings and i then started to become more influenced by architecture and geometric forms, i investigated this interest through drawing and then through three dimensional ideas using the foam board used to make architectural models.

Continuing to look at potential sites

Project development-site specific installation

I have decided that instead of making work and then installing it into a space which is something i have done before that i want to look into making a site specific installation. So i am going to find a space and then start playing with materials and work to go into that space. I have started by looking at potential sites.
